Sarah Rosen (USA)

Sarah Rosen is a writer and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. She has developed television series with production companies in Tel Aviv and London. Her short film You Can Stay Here If You Want screened at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, SENE Film Festival (award winner), Belgrade’s Fine Line Film Festival (award winner), New York Shorts, and more. Sarah was awarded a 2022-2023 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Screenwriting with New York Foundation for the Arts. Her essays and journalism have appeared in the New York Times (Modern Love), Harper’s Magazine, The Times of Israel, and more. Sarah earned a B.A. in Film from Yale University and studied film at the Film and Television School in Prague (FAMU). She studied acting with Bill Esper at the William Esper Studio’s two-year acting conservatory. She was the recipient of the Gotham’s Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film, a Dorot Fellowship, and was accepted into the Porte Peinte Artist Residency.
