Sebastián Lapidus (Colombia/Uruguay)

Sebastián Lapidus is a screenwriter and teacher based in Bogotá. Since 2016, he has developed series, feature film, and documentary projects for production companies such as Laberinto, Asuntos TV, Filmawa, and, most recently, Los Notarios. Since 2017, he has taught screenwriting and audiovisual narrative courses at Colombian universities such as Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano and Universidad de los Andes, where he also studied Literature and Plastic Arts before completing an M.A. in Screenwriting for Film and Television at the Met Film School in London. His work has been recognized with awards and support such as a grant from the Colombian Film Commission for the development of a series in the BAM Projects 2025 section of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM), a direct pass to the Creative Companies Market in Santiago de Cali at BAM Stories 2022, AbreCámara 2020, the 2019 MinTIC Fund from the Colombian Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, and the 2017 New Media Development Grant, for series projects such as El adversario, Tonada al viento, and Las pasantes.
