Zen Pace is an Emmy-winning director whose work moves across narrative films, documentary, and commercial filmmaking. Raised in Flint, Michigan, Zen brings a Rust Belt attentiveness to character and a fascination with what people can’t bring themselves to say. Their short work has won numerous awards and has been selected by the British Film Institute, Tribeca Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Palm Springs, Aesthetica, HollyShorts, and LA Shorts. Their documentary work has premiered on NOWNESS and Directors Notes and has been recognized by Free The Work, MUSE, and PAPER. In commercials, Zen has directed campaigns for Xbox, Gucci, Samsung, Meta, Brooks, and CBS, earning a Young Director Award shortlist at Cannes, multiple Silver Clios and Gold ADDYs, and recognition from Cannes Lions, The One Show, and The Webby Awards. Zen is currently developing their first feature.
