Malena Vain (Argentina)

Malena Vain is an Argentine screenwriter, director, script doctor, and teacher. She studied at the Universidad del Cine and the Film Program at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, and trained in screenwriting, playwriting, and poetry. Her first short film, Business, was selected for the Cinéfondation (La Cinef) at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the Havana Film Festival and the Palm Springs International ShortFest, among others. Her short film Las partículas received an honorable mention from the National Arts Fund of Argentina and premiered at the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI). Malena co-wrote the series El Presidente for Amazon Prime Video, which was nominated for an International Emmy Award. She is currently developing content for audiovisual production companies and social media. No hay sistema is her debut feature film.
